Gordon F. DuGan
Co-Founder & Chairman

Gordon has over 30 years of investment experience and is focused on the strategic direction of Blackbrook Capital. Prior to founding Blackbrook, Gordon was CEO of Gramercy Property Trust (GPT), a fund specialising in industrial properties which was acquired by Blackstone for $7.6 billion. As part of GPT, Gordon founded Gramercy Europe, which acquired more than €1 billion of industrial assets across Europe. Before that, Gordon was CEO of W. P. Carey where he oversaw its growth to more than $10 billion AuM and established the European business.

Gordon graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BSc in Economics with a concentration in Finance. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Innocence Project.

Arvi A. I. Luoma
Co-Founder & CEO

Arvi oversees the strategy, operations and investment activities of Blackbrook Capital. He has more than 18 years of real estate investment experience including Sale-Leaseback, Build to Suit, Net Lease, Speculative Development and Value-Add transactions across more than 20 countries in Europe as well as the US. He has invested in all major asset classes including industrial & logistics, office, retail, healthcare, life sciences, and hospitality. Prior to founding Blackbrook, Arvi was Head of European Investments at W. P. Carey.

Arvi graduated from Oxford University with an MEng in Materials Science, Economics & Management. He is a reserve officer in the Finnish Navy where he was elected Chairman of the Reserve Officer Course. He also serves as a Trustee of the Teacher Development Trust. Arvi is fluent in Finnish.

Yogesh Gupta
Associate

Yogesh joined Blackbrook in 2022 as an Associate in the Investment Team. Previously, he had worked at Quant Insight, a quantitative financial analytics company, as well as with Strategy Consulting Group.

Yogesh graduated with First-Class Honours from Cambridge University with an MSc in Natural Sciences.

Charlotte Ives
Associate

Charlotte joined Blackbrook in 2022 as an Associate in the Investment Team. Previously, she had worked at BBox Capital, a specialist real estate investment manager.

Charlotte graduated with First-Class Honours from Oxford University with an MBiochem in Biochemistry.

Foteini Papastergiou
Legal & Compliance Officer

Foteini is responsible for overseeing regulatory, compliance and legal matters for Blackbrook’s platform based in Luxembourg. Prior to joining Blackbrook, she was a Corporate Legal Officer for Aztec Financial Services and prior to that an International Tax Law consultant at E&Y.

Foteini graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a Bachelor in Law, from Tor Vergata University with an LLM in International Tax Law, from Athens University of Economics & Business with an MSc in European Economic Policy and from Demokritos University of Thrace with an LLM In Public Administrative Law. She is fluent in Greek, French and Italian.

Sameera Kolhatkar
Vice President

Sameera joined Blackbrook’s investment team in 2021 having been an Investment Associate at Eldridge covering strategic investments in finance, real estate, technology, and entertainment. Previously, she had worked at Morgan Stanley in institutional equities, as well as at J. P. Morgan.

Sameera graduated from Cornell University with a BSc in Applied Economics and Management. Sameera is fluent in Japanese.

Taran Lall
COO & Finance Director

Taran is responsible for all financial and operational aspects of Blackbrook including its offices in London and Luxembourg. Prior to joining the firm, Taran was the Financial Controller and Investment Funding Manager at Fruition Properties Group, a London-based property development and investment group. Before that, Taran spent eight years at Deloitte in its Real Estate Tax group.

Taran graduated with First-Class Honours from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Money, Banking and Finance. He is an ICAEW chartered accountant (ACA).

Olivier Lebrun
Portfolio & ESG Manager

Olivier is responsible for all property, build to suit and development management at Blackbrook as well as driving the firm’s sustainability strategies. Previously Olivier was Head of Asset Services at Cushman & Wakefield Luxembourg and prior to that he worked at JLL in Property Management, as well as in Facility Management for Fidelity International.

Olivier graduated from the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne with a DUT in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Data Processing. He is a trained BREEAM In-Use auditor. Olivier is fluent in French.

Samuel Lux
Head of Luxembourg, Fund Manager

Sam is responsible for Blackbrook’s fund management and the day-to-day operations of Blackbrook’s Luxembourg office. Prior to joining Blackbrook, he worked at Mileway as a Finance Manager, and before that as Conducting Officer, Risk & Compliance at Sienna Investment Managers. Sam started his career in real estate fund management at Prologis and subsequently with LaSalle IM and GLP.

Sam graduated from Université de Bourgogne with an MA in Accounting & Finance and a DUT in Business Administration. He is fluent in French.

Grace Reohorn
EA & Office Manager

Grace is the Executive Assistant to Blackbrook’s leadership team. She is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of Blackbrook’s headquarters in London as well as coordinating The Blackbrook Impact initiatives. Previously Grace worked in Investor Relations and Business Development at Augusta Ventures, a third-party litigation funding platform. Prior to that she served as a Project Manager at The Help Agency, a brand engagement agency for the charity sector.

Grace graduated with First-Class Honours from the De Montfort University with a BA in Advertising & Marketing Communications.

Jon Strang
Managing Director

Jon leads Blackbrook’s Investment Team. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Clarion Partners, an investment manager specialising in industrial properties in Europe. Jon has structured more than €2 billion of Sale-Leaseback, Build to Suit, Net Lease and Spec development investments in the UK, Nordics, Germany, France, Benelux, Iberia, Italy and CEE. Previously he had worked at J. P. Morgan Cazenove in its Investment Banking Division where he covered diversified industrial companies and the mining sector.

Jon graduated with First-Class Honours from Oxford University with an MEng in Engineering Science.

Alice Vacani
Vice President

Alice joined Blackbrook’s investment team in 2021 having previously worked at Northwood Investors covering pan-European real estate equity investments, CMBS and UK regional asset management. Prior to that she had worked at Goldman Sachs in alternative investments as well as with Rothesay Life in asset origination.

Alice graduated from Oxford University with an MChem in Chemistry.

Iaryna Zakurnaieva
Financial Controller

Iaryna is the Financial Controller for Blackbrook’s European portfolio. Prior to joining Blackbrook, she served as a Senior Manager at Intertrust Group (Luxembourg) and before that was an Audit Manager at Deloitte.

Iaryna holds a BA in International Economics & Management and an MA in International Accounting & Auditing from the Kiev National University of Economics. She is a member of the ACCA. Iaryna speaks fluent Ukrainian and Russian, and conversational Polish.

Board Member

Tony is Chairman of Blackbrook’s Board of Directors. He is Co-Founder & President of Eldridge, a holding company with assets in multiple industries including insurance, asset management, technology, mobility, sports & gaming, media & music, real estate and the consumer sector. Previously, Tony was Chief Investment Officer at Security Benefit and prior to that Co-Head of Corporate Credit at Guggenheim where he co-chaired the Investment Committee.

Tony graduated from Bowdoin College with a BA in Economics. He is also a member of the US Olympic & Paralympic Foundation Trustee Council.

Todd J. Gilbert
Board Member

Todd is a Principal at Eldridge, a holding company with assets in multiple industries including insurance, asset management, technology, mobility, sports & gaming, media & music, real estate and the consumer sector. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Guggenheim focused on principal investing, business development and strategic transactions, as well as private equity, corporate credit and special situations investment opportunities.

Todd graduated from the University of Michigan with a BBA.

Lisa Ohlmeyer
Board Member

Lisa is Senior Managing Director at Stonebriar Commercial Finance, a provider of mission-critical financing solutions to a variety of sectors including equipment, rail, aviation and real estate. Previously, Lisa was a Director at Guggenheim in investment management and prior to that she worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank.

Lisa graduated from Georgetown University with a BSc in Accounting & Finance.
